This allows me to use Hugo's image resizing to create img srcsets where the client downloads an appropriate image depending on their screen size. I had to go back and find original photos for each of these posts because Hugo was resizing my already-optimized versions and they looked horrible. Unfortunately I couldn't find originals for these posts: - aqaba-dirty-disappointing - contemporary-arab-design-jrf-showroom - eid-mubarak-neighborhood-dumpster - no-noise-near-noisy-mosque - red-orange-yellow-rice-bab-al-yemen Hugo will fall back to looking in the static directory for these.

يُخْجِلُني أَنْ أَقُولَ إِنَّ الأَمْرَ قَدِ اِسْتَغْرَقَ مِنِّي شَهْرًا تَقْرِيبًا لِاكْتِشَافِ هَذِهِ الحَلْوَى اللذِيذَة بَعْدَ الاِنْتِقَال إلى الأُرْدُنّ.
أَصْلُها مِنْ نَابْلُس، وهي مَدِينةٌ فِلَسْطِينيّة مَعْرُوفَة على ما يَبْدُو بــ «المطبخ الرّاقي»، وتُعْتَبرُ الكنافة هي واحِدَة من تِلْكَ الأَشْيَاءِ الَّتِي لا يُمْكِنُ إِعْدَادُها بِسُرْعَةٍ كَافِيَة.
عِنْدَ مَحَلٍّ مَشْهُورٍ يُدْعى «حبيبة» في وَسْطِ البَلْدَةِ عَمَّان يُوجَد دَائِماً هُناك طَابُور، ومِنَ الصَّعْبِ بَعْضَ الشَّيء لِأَنْ تَطْلُبَ هُنَاك، إلّا إذا كُنْتَ تَعْرِفُ ما الّذِي سَتَفْعَلُه!
وهُناك مَكَانٌ آخَر جَيِّد لشِراء الكنافة من مَحَلٍّ للحَلويَّات اِسمهُ «نفيسة». يُوجد لدى كُلٌّ من «نفسية وحبيبة» عِدَّة فُرُوع حول المدينة، لَكِنِّي ما زِلْتُ غَيْر متأكِّد أَيُّهُما أَفْضَل.
