This allows me to use Hugo's image resizing to create img srcsets where the client downloads an appropriate image depending on their screen size. I had to go back and find original photos for each of these posts because Hugo was resizing my already-optimized versions and they looked horrible. Unfortunately I couldn't find originals for these posts: - aqaba-dirty-disappointing - contemporary-arab-design-jrf-showroom - eid-mubarak-neighborhood-dumpster - no-noise-near-noisy-mosque - red-orange-yellow-rice-bab-al-yemen Hugo will fall back to looking in the static directory for these.

أَفْضَلُ طَرِيقَةٍ لِوَصْفِ مَسْجِدِ الشَّيْخ زايد هي أَنَّهُ لُؤْلُؤَةُ العَقَبَة. هُناك الكثير ما تعشقهُ في هذا المسجد الخَلَّاب على الشّاطئ الأردني، لكنَّ جَوْهَرَةُ التَّاجِ — لإكمال التشبيه — هِيَ الخَطّ العربي الذي لا تَشُوبُهُ شَائِبَة، هذا الخَطّ المُرَصَّع على وَاجِهة المَسْجِد.
مع الأَسَف، لا يُوجَدُ الكَثِير ما يُكتَب عن العَقَبَةِ بِحَدِّ ذاتِها.
فِي الأَصْل تَمّ بِنَاء هذا المَسْجِد سنة 1975، ومِن ثَمّ تَمّ تَجْدِيدُهُ سنة 2010 كَجُزء من جُهْدٍ أكبر لإِعَادَة إِحْيَاء المَدِينَة السّاحِليّة على البَحْرِ الأَحْمر، وتمّ تَصْمِيمُ هذا المَسْجِد على غِرَار مَسْجِدِ الشّيخ زايد الكَبِير في أَبُو ظَبِي.
