<p>أَفْضَلُ طَرِيقَةٍ لِوَصْفِ مَسْجِدِ الشَّيْخ زايد هي أَنَّهُ لُؤْلُؤَةُ العَقَبَة. هُناك الكثير ما تعشقهُ في هذا المسجد الخَلَّاب على الشّاطئ الأردني، لكنَّ جَوْهَرَةُ التَّاجِ — لإكمال التشبيه — هِيَ الخَطّ العربي الذي لا تَشُوبُهُ شَائِبَة، هذا الخَطّ المُرَصَّع على وَاجِهة المَسْجِد.</p>
|
|
<p>مع الأَسَف، لا يُوجَدُ الكَثِير ما يُكتَب عن العَقَبَةِ بِحَدِّ ذاتِها.</p>
|
|
<p>فِي الأَصْل تَمّ بِنَاء هذا المَسْجِد سنة 1975، ومِن ثَمّ تَمّ تَجْدِيدُهُ سنة 2010 كَجُزء من جُهْدٍ أكبر لإِعَادَة إِحْيَاء المَدِينَة السّاحِليّة على البَحْرِ الأَحْمر، وتمّ تَصْمِيمُ هذا المَسْجِد على غِرَار <a href="https://www.szgmc.gov.ae/ar/">مَسْجِدِ الشّيخ زايد الكَبِير في أَبُو ظَبِي</a>.</p>
