<p>كان <a href="https://ar.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A3%D9%86%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%B7_(%D8%B4%D8%B9%D8%A8)">الأنباطُ</a> قبيلةً أصبحت غَنيّة غِنىً فاحِشاً من تِجَارَةِ اللِّبان والمُرّ والبهارات في شِبْهِ الجَزِيرَة العربيّة مُنذ حوالي أَلْفَي سنة. بَنُوا البَتْرَاء عَاصِمَةً لِحَضارَتِهم المُزْدَهِرَة. الوَاجِهَاتُ الحَجَرِيَّةُ الجَمِيلَة السَّاحِرَة — التي يَبْلُغُ طُولها مِئَة مِتْر — ما زالت سَلِيمةً بِشَكْلٍ مُدْهِشٍ، ومَحْمِيَّةً بشَكْلٍ جَيِّد إلى يَوْمِنَا هذا.</p>
